Before the Fortnite battle royale blew up in popularity during Chapter 1, the game offered a tower defense looter shooter gameplay loop. Since Chapter 1, Fortnite has done hundreds of collaborations, introducing skins for Captain America, John Wick, Rick Sanchez, and many more well-known characters. There seem to be no signs of stopping these crossover cosmetics, as the current season, Chapter 6 Season 1, has its own offerings. With Epic Games continuing to add popular IPs to its game, many fans have voiced which characters they’d like to see next. Perhaps due to popular demand, a new leak has suggested that James Bond 007 will be added to Fortnite in an upcoming season.

Twitter user ShiinaBR recently boosted a rumor that Fortnite will be releasing a James Bond skin around the same time that it does a wrestling-themed season. ShiinaBR isn’t the originator of the rumor, as they credit Shpeshal_Nick for the information. Shpeshal_Nick has previously denied that they’re a dataminer and confirmed that they received details from an anonymous source who has a “unique angle” on acquiring information. With ShiinaBR putting their own statement out about the James Bond skin and wrestling season, there may be more credibility to what Shpeshal_Nick originally suggested. As the next James Bond movie and IO Interactive’s Project 007 are reportedly in the works, the skin may be added to help promote a big release.

Multiple Fortnite Leakers Suggest That a James Bond Skin Is Coming

While a James Bond skin could be introduced to Fortnite in the future, it’s unclear which iteration of the character will be represented. James Bond has been played by Daniel Craig, Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, and other actors, changing his appearance over the years as a result. It’s also important to note that the Broccoli family who owns the character is very protective of him, and it may be a while before all the legalities of releasing the skin are handled behind the scenes. Other rumors suggest that Chapter 6 Season 2 will be wrestling-themed, which may indicate that the James Bond skin is dropping during the next season. Beyond this skin, Shpeshal_Nick has also suggested that DC Comics’ Cyborg and characters from The Boys will be added soon too.

Given the popularity of James Bond across multiple generations, it may not be a surprise for fans to see him in the game sooner or later. As the James Bond skin is currently just a rumor, these details should be taken with a grain of salt. Because Epic Games continues to update Fortnite with new skins regularly, the action movie hero could be dropped anytime.
