Mastering the Third Edict in Path of Exile 2: Top 5 Deadeye Builds

Mastering the Third Edict in Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 is right around the corner and it honestly looks like GGG is really doubling down on the ARPG feel with the new skill system and those insane visuals. With the whole “Third Edict” thing (hypothetical endgame, but imagine it being brutal), Deadeye builds are gonna be one of the best ways to push it if you’re into bows.

To actually get that going you’ll need to stack attack speed and flat phys/elemental rolls on your gear. That means crafting matters more than ever — perfect prefixes on bows/quivers are basically mandatory. Time to start hoarding that PoE 2 currency.

One setup I’ve been theorycrafting is the Frostfang Flurry (Cold Conversion/Freezing). Basically, you take a phys bow build and fully convert to cold. You’re not gonna be permanently freezing bosses (let’s be real), but you’ll have crazy CC and way more safety clearing maps. The key will be uniques that help with conversion and cold scaling, and yeah… efficient trading is going to separate the people who cruise through endgame from the ones stuck scuffing maps.

Emphasize high base fire damage skills, or convert physical damage to fire, then use ignite proliferation to spread extensive burning damage. This build is particularly effective at clearing dense groups of enemies and dealing sustained damage to bosses. Crafting gear with fire damage over time multipliers will require targeted use of specific PoE 2 Currency components.

A Kinetic Blast-style skill, combined with Deadeye’s benefits to projectile speed and accuracy, could create a fast-paced, explosive playstyle. The increased attack speed from Deadeye nodes works exceptionally well with wand attacks. This approach requires a high critical strike chance and multiplier, meaning your path of exile 2 currency will be significantly invested in meticulously crafted rare wands and jewelry.

This strategy allows for a safer, more hands-off approach to combat, enabling your minions to handle the heavy lifting while you provide buffs or additional damage. Seek skill gems that allow Ballistas to fire multiple projectiles or gain your projectile modifiers.
