In a recent blog post, Epic Games announced that players would be able to claim two new free skins: Mr. Dappermint and Chord Kahele. The Mr. Dappermint skin has been purchasable in the game’s item shop before, but the skin will now be available for free with Fortnite’s update on December 10. Players who wish to claim the candy cane-themed skin will need to link their Fortnite account with their LEGO account. If a gamer doesn’t have a LEGO account, they can create one and link it to their Fortnite account. If this is a player’s first time linking the two accounts, they will also be rewarded with the Explorer Emilie skin, which has been available since 2023. Claiming Chord Kahele is a little more complex.

Chord Kahele is a stylish skin with pink headphones and a skull t-shirt. Players who wish to claim the skin will need to download Fortnite on a mobile device. Gamers will then need to earn XP while playing on mobile by February 21. Currently, it isn’t possible to download Fortnite on iOS outside of the European Union. Fans who won’t be able to earn the skin, or miss the opportunity, may have the option to purchase the Chord Kahele through the item shop at a later date.
